New Year’s 2011…Finally

|
We had enough booze for an army (this picture doesn’t include the 6 other bottles of champagne still in our cars)…
The guys went squirrel hunting…
and actually brought two back (which I cooked AND ATE later that week! A first for me!).
We shot skeet on the dock…
soaked in the warm sunshine…
enjoyed the last few Cold Mountains
made serious faces…
and whiskey and cokes…
watched Bart do what he does best…
Man’s best friend
and then the party began!
We discovered the wall made an excellent photo booth background…
wore silly hats…
took a few shots…
posed for obligatory pictures…
and cheersed (<–is that even a word??) to the year and friendship.
Lu the New Year’s fairy 🙂
Jim was pretty much over the partying already.
And then so was Bart.
BFFs
We tried to cheer him up with a blue hat…

he said that wasn’t his color.
See the rug burn where he has been sniffing the mice that now reside in the barn floor?
So we gave pink a try which perked him up, but Bart wasn’t too thrilled.

And then the clock struck 12:00 and Husband and I smooched.
Only picture I capture of the moment and I cut my own head out – fail
And for no other reason than their awesome wrap jobs makes me laugh, I had to include this picture of the guys “pigs in a blanket” snacks the next day.
And we concluded 2011 and said hello to 2012!
