Liz’s Baby Shower

|
I mentioned that while I was home I co-hosted a baby shower for my best friend Liz. Our friend Amanda was handling the decorations and games and Hannah (my sister) and I handled the food and venue (Hannah’s apartment).
Catering is something Hannah and I have always loved to do. In fact, she keeps insisting one of these days she just going to open her own business and put her money where her mouth is. I hope she lets me know when she does!
For the shower we made a caprese orzo salad, fruit skewers…

Greek salad (Liz is a green salad fiend)…

and spinach, mushroom and cheddar quiches (remember no deli meats like proscuitto for mamas to be!).
Although my crusts fell off the quiches, but at least they tasted good!
Due to the short window of time to plan we ended up getting the cupcakes from our good friend Sam…as in Club 🙂 Thankfully they came out the perfect shade of pink and not some hot pink nightmare.
Some fresh flowers from Trader Joe’s, sparking pink limeade, and the wooden cake stand I used for my wedding and we were set.

Outfit for the future Denny Hamlin racing fan 🙂

I think this was my favorite gift she received. This blanket was her husband Clint’s when he was little, and was made by a relative of theirs who was blind. I couldn’t make something like that with perfect vision! I was absolutely astounded. What a priceless gift!

The beautiful, tiny little mama-to-be!

The hosts.

Mother In Law.

And Sister.

Congratulations dear Lizzie! I can’t wait for April and to see that precious little baby girl!
