Gratitude Bonus Round 21

You knew I would save him for last right?
Today I am thankful for my husband.
I’m not sure what profound thing I could say that I haven’t already said on the blog in regards to the endless pride, love, and gratitude I feel for this man. But it is of course necessary to express my great thankfulness that he is in my life.
I thank God for letting us find each other, make a life together, and grow as husband and wife. Lord knows where I would be if I hadn’t found you.
I’m very thankful to you Husband, for choosing me to be your one and only. I consider it a great honor that out of all the women in the world you chose me.
I’m thankful God blessed you with the patience to deal with my poor sense of direction, dramatically expressive emotions, and thick thick head.
I’m thankful that you still love on me and hold my hand once in a while, even though it’s not really your thing.
I’m thankful for the little surprises you give me just to make me smile, like hot chocolate and cookies before bed, and hard-to-get Sex and the City movie tickets and a fancy homecooked dinner on an unexpected Friday night (yes I still remember that), and scavenger hunts to keep me busy when you have to leave for a few days.
I’m thankful that you are willing to stop in the middle of a busy sidewalk, in the middle of our date night, sit down on a bench, and talk through something that is weighing on my heart, because you know it’s important to me.
I’m thankful for the warmth and amazing feeling of safety and security I feel when I wake up during the night and realize I am completely wrapped up in your arms. I love being a human pretzel with you 🙂
I’m thankful that you’ve poured your heart and soul into your career, and that a large part of your reason was so you could take care of me and our future family.
I’m thankful that you won’t accept any less that my best, that you push me in everything I do, and that you make every day a challenge, because that’s the one thing I need in my life to stay motivated. You compliment me and make me a better person, just by being you.
I’m thankful that God blessed me with a husband, and a love to last my whole life. You complete my life. You are my happiest. You are my heart, outside of my body. And I’m so thankful to spend Thanksgiving day with you.
